So, June 13th came and went. I am safe to say that I made it through my first year of teaching. Now it's summer-time for me... For now... What have I been doing. Well, for the first summer in many years I am NOT working. I am actually relaxing for a change, however, I know that will end soon:( So far this summer I did the following... visited a friend in PA, went to Dorney Park, took myself down to the shore(once), visited my family, worked at Vaction Bible School as a puppet, went swimming, went to the gym(once so far), got a manicure and pedicure,  went to many movies, and went to Philly... and I know there are some other things that will happen... I am going to the shore tomorrow with a friend, I am going to a wedding, and I am going to South Carolina for professional development... I have had some days where I have done absolutely nothing as well. I also know that I also need to clean and prepare for the next year. I am planning on going back to the same school this year and I don't know, other than that... not much else is going on... if there is anything I missed and those who still read these things want to know, feel free to ask me... Strange, writing 2 entries in the same month... so this past weekend was awesome. Well, for those of you who don't know, a year ago, I just met Brian and started hanging out with him. I didn't know exactly what I thought of him, especially since I had been dating a strange guy 4-5 months before... I was fine being single. But anyway, this time last year I had a party at my apartment at the time invited a bunch of people and him and they stayed till like 6 am. Then he invited me to the shore, and I went because I would go to the shore with anyone...I got to get to know him a little better that night....

Anyway, this year on Friday I went to see a play in Philly. It was awsome. It was called the Odd couple. Really funny and we had really good seats( thanks to Mr. Sommerville inviting me and Brian) Then on Saturday I went to the shore with Brian again... this time we met up with some other friends. But it was good to relive last year I guess... kinda strange how things played out..... this time I actually know how I feel about him and I'm glad I met him. A year sure does change some things.... anyway, on Sunday my big bro dave took us out to dinner after church and it was neat because it is right by the deleware river and I was looking out and watching the river as I was eating lunch... It sure was a jammed back weekend.

Today we had class pictures. I looked horrible,and my kids were out of sorts... However I made it thought another day.. I so can't wait till the summer. June 13th couldn't come sooner.... I do love my students and God is teaching me much.

I guess it has been a while since I have updated... if anyone cares about this anyway. All is going fine. Since Christmas lets see... Well, teaching has been keeping me really busy... it has it's ups and downs like all jobs.. I can't believe this but I have a little over 2 months left until summer... my first year of teaching has almost been survived all the way through! I just had a week off for Easter and spring break. It was wonderful. I was ready to take some time off. During the time, I was able to spend time at my pastor's house, visit family and of course... spend time with Brian and get some teaching stuff underway. I was able to relax and destress a little bit... it was so good to have off and I wish I had more time;) My brother had his 21st birthday yesterday. We ended up going out to dinner for his birthday when I was up in PA. I had squid for the first time. It's ok.. kinda chewy. The waitress was amazing! She gave us 3 complimentary things, said happy birthday to my brother 3 times and was on the ball with keeping up with our table. I also saw Horton hears a who.... (I figured since I read the book for an entire summer why not?) It was cute. I also found my little black dress!! I was looking high and low for one. Oh did I meantion Brian came up to visit my family with me? I am so amazed at how well he fits in. He gets along well with my mom, brother and even my dad. My dad was joking around about something and he just hopped right in...  I'm glad he came with me.

Yesterday and today I went on inpulse buying. I bought a crock pot, new shoes, necklace, sleep ware.. and I can't believe this one... a thong..(I know tmi, but i had so say something about it, I mean it was only 2.50) Talk about inpulse.... however, it was fun... and then I went to the dentist monday.. I had 3 fillings done... 3 more to go... 2 weren't cavity filled but other issues... The one really bothered me more than I thought...

Other than that, well I can't keep track of everything, but I went to Bethany's wedding... yes she's married now... it was a lot of fun and she made a beautiful bride. Again... Brian went with me. (yeah, we do spend a lot of time together its just the way it is...) Teaching keeps me occupied.... and when I'm not teaching, working on teaching stuff, and if not that spending time with Brian or maybe shopping or taking care of stuff around... so that's my life...

Well, I figure since you won't see or hear from me on this thing for a while, I will update all of you who would like to know and don't have a clue what is going on with my life. So, at this point in time I have been enjoying my time off from work. My last day was the 14th and it's been good to be able to relax and to refresh, reflect, and recharge. Last week I did odds and ends in Jersey... went to the dentist, doctor, got my car's oil changed, finished shopping, and spent much time with Brian. I spent my Christmas with my parents and brother. On Christmas Eve I traveled up to pa and went to church with my parents, decorated the Christmas tree and exchanged gifts. Christmas day was spent with my immediate family(mom, dad, and brother) I saw my small extended family the weekend before and begged Brian to come with me.(Scarey part of it all is that he fit in really well with my family) Anyway, Christmas my family exchanged gifts and you had to be there to understand all of our family "fun". I also have had enough food the past couple of days to feed an army(ok maybe I'm exaggerating just a little) I have just been taking it easy enjoying the peacefulness of western central pa. On the way up, I was driving into the sun and I saw the most beautiful sunset. God is so amazing! That was one of the coolest Christmas presents to receive. I did get some really cool things from people this year. My mom actually got me a little t.v. as well and other things(dvds, clothes, teaching stuff... sort of and some traditonal stuff.) Brian's gift/s were very thoughtful and I appreciated all them as well. He actually went and bought me the original "My Little Pony Movie" I couldn't believe he did that. Days before I was just messing with him when we went shopping together about getting me a pony dvd... didn't think he would actually go through with it. Anyway, life has been good and I have been enjoying myself. Things with my family and Brian are going well, as you may have assumed. (Update from before... my parents both like him:), and my brother too. The testing and tormoil have ceased for the moment, and it has been good to be able to reflect on what God has done, what He is doing, and what He will continue to do. I know that this time of relaxation will quickly come to a close(sadly) and life will get crazy once more. I know my kids will have much in store for me when I return to teach and I look forward to continuing teaching this new year.  I have to keep in mind that whatever God has planned for me, He is continually good and has my best in mind... through the good times like now, and the bad as well.

Ok so I am writing this blog due to a request of one of my friends and former roomates. So I have been crazy busy. I am now working at a school in NJ with first and second graders both. It's a lot of work but I love all of them very much. Most of my time is spent at school. If not at school, I am grading papers or spending time with Brian. Who is Brian you ask? Well, I guess you can say he's my boyfriend. I met him about six months ago at a friend's birthday party. We have been getting to know each other ever since, and it's going pretty well. Besides this, well, my car died, and I got another one, and I have been enjoying living in a 2 story house all to myself.

Today I got back from a convention for work. Kinda interesting, I ended up seeing all these highschool people. It was a good learning experience. This coming up week at work I have parent teacher conferences and I'm kinda nervous. I'm doing the best I can, and I hope that the parents understand this and that I want the best for them and their children.

This weekend, I am going up to see my parents, show them my new car, and Brian is coming with me. It should be fun. I also have things to grade of course... maybe I could get some help Anyway, that's my life in a nutshell, there's lots going on but that is the main summary. (There you go Michelle)
